Discover Ferrara through History and Flavours

Ferrara boasts a rich and historic culinary heritage: many excellences were born at the Este court, when the refined Dukes of Este hosted European delegations. This itinerary will lead us to discover the links, secrets and curiosities of Ferrara’s cuisine.

In addition to visiting the medieval city with its historical monuments and the Renaissance city with the Addizione Erculea, the itinerary includes several stops dedicated to the tasting of typical products:Ferrara’s ricciola(traditionally served at breakfast), the famouspasticcio di maccheroni– pasta dressed with white sauce made with mushrooms and truffles, wrapped in a crispy shell of sweet puff pastry – andcappellacci di zucca, tortelloni filled with pumpkin and Parmesan cheese, served with butter and sage or meat sauce. All this will be accompanied by a good glass oflocal wine.

The experience wouldn’t be complete withouttraditional dessertsand agood coffeeto finish on a sweet tone.
