Day 1: Arrive in the morning and have time for a first look at the city. Check in to reserved rooms from 2 pm. In the afternoon free visit to theEstense Castlethe most representative monument of the city of Ferrara. Overnight stay.

Day 2: Breakfast. Meet with your guide for theHistorical Food Walking Tour(duration 3 hours). Accompanied by a certified guide, through a food and wine itinerary in stages among the excellence of the area,guided walking tourof the medieval city and the Ghetto, to the heart of the Renaissance city, better known as the“Addizione Erculea.” The project, strongly desired by Ercole I d’Este at the end of the 15th century, is considered the first example of Renaissance urban planning in Europe. Afternoon at leisure for individual activities. We recommend a visit to theCathedral Museum, an authentic jewel that holds valuable works from the adjacent cathedral.

Day 3: Breakfast. Day at leisure to devote to individual activities. You can visit the Renaissance walls, the city’s ancient defensive bulwark. Almost completely intact, they are passable onlyon foot or by bicycle(rental on request). Absolutely not to be missed along the way:the Certosa Monumental Cemetery, thePalazzo Schifanoia Museumand the FerraraArchaeological Museum.

Day 4: Breakfast and time at leisure for final activities. Check out before 10.00 a.m., with complimentary free luggage storage.
